Post-Game Notes: Austin Peay vs. Oakland City

  • The win gives Austin Peay its third home win in four tries, while also taking ownership of back-to-back victories for the first time this season.
  • It's also the first winning streak by APSU since opening up Ohio Valley Conference play last season, on Jan. 2, with a pair of victories over UT Martin and Southeast Missouri.
  • The Governors improve to 5-0 all-time against Oakland City, with APSU head coach Dave Loos being at the helm in each of the five wins.
  • Freshman guard Josh Robinson eclipsed his career-high point total of 12 in the first half with 14 points, and finished with 23 on the night.
  • Robinson made seven three-pointers on Thursday, with his 14 attempts behind the arch surpassing the previous season-high player total for the Govs by eight shots.
  • The last time an APSU player made six or more three's was Travis Betran against Dalton State on Dec. 30, 2013.
  • The 12 three-pointers made as a team is the highest total by the Govs since having an identical number against Utah Valley on Dec. 28, 2012.
  • Junior center Chris Horton recorded his sixth double-double of the season with a 13 points and 14 rebounds against the Mighty Oaks.
  • Senior swingman Ed Dyson went for 13 points in the contest (3-of-4 behind the arch), and has now reached double-digit point territory in his last three games.
  • Junior Khalil Davis chipped in with 12 points (8-of-11 at the foul line), while also being one shy of a career-best mark in rebounds with nine.
  • It's the second-straight game in which Austin Peay has led at halftime.
  • The Govs out-rebounded Oakland City 46-23 in the game, with 30 boards in the first half alone.
  • The rebounding total is the second-highest total of the season for APSU, just one below the 47 mark set against Berea on Nov. 16.
  • The Govs closed the game with seven makes in their last nine attempts, ending on a 7-0 run to increase the gap to 24 points.
