Austin Peay vs. North Florida Post-Game Notes

• The win gives the Governors a 3-3 record in December to close out the year at 5-8 overall.
• In the first ever meeting between APSU and North Florida, the Govs improved to 1-2 against Atlantic Sun schools, dropping the Ospreys to 0-3 against Ohio Valley Conference teams.
• Senior forward Chris Freeman led Austin Peay in the scoring department, setting a career-high in points with 23 (10-of-15 from the field).
• Junior center Chris Horton recorded his seventh double-double of the season, going for 13 points and 10 rebounds to go along with four blocks.
• Junior guard Khalil Davis chipped in with 11 points (5-of-8 shooting).
• Austin Peay trailed by seven with 8:17 remaining, and took the lead at the 5:45 mark thanks to a layup by Freeman.
• It was the first lead by APSU since the 5:17 mark of the first half.
• Freeman scored six big points down the closing stretch, while Zavion Williams hit two free throws in the final seconds to seal the victory.
• After missing four games, Williams had three points in his 12 minutes of leading the offense throughout the second half.
• The Govs shot 47 percent from the field after improving their percentage to 52.2 in the second half.
• Thirty-four of APSU's 65 points came in the paint as the Govs struggled from outside with a 2-for-13 stat line from behind the three-point arch.
• The APSU defense held the Ospreys to 23 points in the second half as North Florida went 0-for-11 from three in the final 20 minutes.
