Postgame Notes: Austin Peay vs. Belmont

• Austin Peay knocked off top-seeded Belmont 97-96 in overtime Friday night at the Municipal Auditorium to advance to the OVC Championship game.
• Belmont originally converted a layup at the overtime buzzer, but after review, the basket was waved off.
• It's APSU's first OVC title game berth since 2009.
• In addition, it is Austin Peay first victory over Belmont since the Bruins entered the OVC. The win moves the Govs .500 this season, extending its winning streak to five games.
• Senior center Chris Horton finished with 30 points and 16 rebounds, the 60th double-double of his prestigious career. Horton has led the Governors in rebounding in 100 games over his four years.
• Horton is 17 points away from the OVC Tournament scoring record, currently with 82 points over three games.
• The Georgia native was nearly perfect at the free throw line, going 14-of-16. It's his most successful performance at the charity stripe since Jan. 28, 2015 against Morehead State.
• Sophomore guard Josh Robinson posted 25 points as the team's point guard, dishing out five assists to lead the Govs.
• Freshman Jared Savage recorded a career-high 21 points, knocking down five three-pointers while going 7-of-9 overall from the field.
• There were 21 lead changes in the thrilling contest, with the Govs outscoring Belmont 51-42 in the second half.
