FROM THE TOP
- A Fortera Stadium record 9,428 were in attendance for the 71st Homecoming contest.
- Austin Peay's 38 points were its second-most in an OVC contest since its return to the league in 2007.
- The Governors offense did not commit a turnover for the first time since Oct. 31, 2015 against Tennessee State.
CAPTAINS/COIN TOSS
- For the sixth consecutive game, nickelback Malik Boynton and quarterback JaVaughn Craig were the captains.
- Austin Peay won the toss and deferred to the second half.
- The Governors are 4-4 on coin tosses this season.
SERIES UPDATE
- Austin Peay and Southeast Missouri met for the 22nd time and the 12th time in Clarksville.
- Austin Peay defeated Southeast Missouri for the first time since 2009, ending the Redhawks seven-game win streak in the series.
- It also was the Govs first win against the Redhawks in Clarksville since 1991, ending SEMO's nine-game win streak in Clarksville.
MORE ABOUT WINS
- The Governors five wins are their most since the 2007 season, their first back in the OVC. Austin Peay went 7-4 overall and 5-3 in OVC play in that 2007 campaign.
- Austin Peay won its third home contest, equaling the 2011 team's home win total.
- Austin Peay has back-to-back wins for the second time this season. It is the first time since 2007 a Governors team has posted multiple back-to-back wins.
HOMECOMING
- Saturday's game was the Govs 71st Homecoming contest.
- The 38 points scored are the most in a Homecoming contest since 1999 (vs. Kentucky Wesleyan).
- It was Austin Peay's 27th homecoming victory.

- Cornerback Trent Taylor made his season's third start.
- Wide receiver Gorel Soumare made his first career start and offensive lineman Ethan Self started at right guard – his second start this season.
- Soumare caught one pass for 25 yards and was targeted twice.
- Taylor finished with three tackles (two solo).
OFFENSIVE SPARKS
- Jeremiah Oatsvall became the first Govs quarterback since Jake Ryan (Oct. 24, 2009 vs. Eastern Kentucky) to win in his first start.
- Oatsvall's 52-yard touchdown pass to Daryl Rollins-Davis the both the Governors longest pass play and its longest scoring play this season.
- That longest play lasted until the Governors next offensive drive when Kentel Williams broke off a 74-yard rush for a touchdown. It was the Govs longest rush play since Williams' 61-yard rush against Morehead State.
- Oatsvall became the first Govs quarterback to throw multiple touchdowns in a game this season with his 10-yard strike to DJ Montgomery in the second quarter.
- It was the second time this season the Govs passing game was responsible for multiple touchdowns in a contest (Jacksonville State).
- Austin Peay had three plays of 50-plus yards, Williams later adding a 56-yard run that saw him tackled at the one-yard line. The Govs had three plays of 50-plus yards entering the contest.
- Williams 74-yard run and 56-yard dash were his fourth and fifth plays of 50-plus yards.
- Nine different Governors caught a pass in the contest.
- Austin Peay scored for the 34th consecutive game.
DEFENSIVE STANDSÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
- Free safety Malik Davis led the Govs with 10 tackles (three solo), his second double-digit tackle performance this season (12, Miami-Ohio).
- Kordel Jackson tallied the Govs lone sack of the contest, the team's sixth consecutive game with a sack. It was his third sack this season.
- Gunnar Scholato had a team-high 1.5 tackles for loss and now has 7.5 tackles for loss this season.
- Austin Peay recorded five tackles for loss and now has 48 tackles for loss this season – 28 of those coming in OVC play.

- Daryl Rollins-Davis blocked the game's first punt and recovered the ball at the Redhawks 16-yard line. It was the Govs third blocked kick this season.
- Austin Peay attempted just two punts in the contest, punter Devin Stuart booting a 37-yard punt.
- Jeremiah Oatsvall tagged a 42-yard punt into the end zone, his longest punt this season.
