- Austin Peay and Tennessee Tech met for the 51st time, the 25th time in Cookeville with the Governors improving their record to 19-32 and 11-14 respectively.
- Austin Peay defeated Tennessee Tech for the first time since 2012, breaking the Golden Eagles four-game winning streak against the Governors.
- It also was the first Governors victory in Cookeville since 2007.

- The Governors six wins is the most since the 2007 season, their first season back in the OVC. Austin Peay went 7-4 overall and 5-3 in OVC play in that 2007 campaign.
- With the victory over Tennessee Tech, the Governors have five OVC wins, tying the mark of the 2007 season.
- Austin Peay is undefeated (3-0) on the road in OVC matchups and 5-1 in conference play.

- Running back Ahmaad Tanner made his first start at Austin Peay, Saturday.
- Trey Pruitt and Elijah Brown started for Austin Peay. This is the first time the Govs have started two tight ends this season and it was Brown's first collegiate start.
OFFENSIVE SPARKS
- The Govs 423 rushing yards is the most by any OVC team this season, in conference play.
- Jeremiah Oatsvall made his third-straight start at quarterback, his first coming against Southeast Missouri Oct. 7.
- Daryl Rollins-Davis had a 71-yard rush early in the second quarter, his longest rush of the season. The 71-yard run was the Governors second longest rushing play of the season. Daryl Rollins-Davis had a season high 87 rushing yards.
- All three Austin Peay quarterbacks combined for a touchdown in the second half. JaVaughn Craig handed off to Baniko Harley who passed it to Jeremiah Oatsvall. This was Harley's first career touchdown pass and Oatsvall's first career touchdown reception.
- Ahmaad Tanner had a career high 105 rushing yards, in his first collegiate start. This is Tanner's first time breaking the century mark as a Governor.
- Four different Governors scored rushing touchdowns in the contest. Jeremiah Oatsvall, Kyran Moore, Ahmaad Tanner and Tre Nation all found pay dirt in the win.
- The Govs had 236 rushing yards in the first half, the second most in a half this season (Morehead State).

- Austin Peay defensive back Juantarius Bryant forced a fumble on the Golden Eagles' first offensive play. The fumble was recovered by defensive back Malik Davis.
- Shaun Whittinghill and Jaison Williams each tallied a sack on the day. Williams sack brought his total to 9.5 on the season, which leads the OVC.
- Gunnar Scholato had a team-high 2.5 tackles for loss, bringing his season total to 11. Scholato had seven total tackles on the day, two of which were solo tackles.

- Punter Devin Stuart had a season long 57-yard punt, one of two punts over 50 yards.
- Kicker Logan Birchfield had a season high three touchbacks against the Golden Eagles.
- Jeremiah Oatsvall tagged a 47-yard punt in the fourth quarter to flip field position, his longest punt this season.
