Austin Peay State University Athletics

2014-15 Track: Had a solid first season for Austin Peay after transferring from Memphis… won the shot put at the MT Christmas Invitational with a personal-best 12.34m mark, one of two top-eight finishes she enjoyed in her first weekend of competition—she also placed eighth in the shot put at the Music City Invite with a 12.29m toss… had a personal-best 11.77m output shot put at the Hilltopper Relays and followed it a week later with a fifth-place (11.39m) finish in the event at the APSU Invitational.

Prior to Austin Peay: Competed in throws for Kevin Robinson at Memphis, with a personal-best 39-foot toss in the shot put… at Central High School, was 2011 sectional champion and third place in the 2011 TSSAA State Championships in the shot put… named Central’s Most Outstanding Field Performer in 2011.

Personal: Daughter of Barry Carter and Arethia Briggs-Carter… has one sister, Piggie, who competes in throws at Bryan College… born Sept. 23… plans to become an athletic trainer after college.
