Austin Peay State University Athletics

2014-15: Gifted middle distance runner made her greatest mark during relays… opened up her Austin Peay career with a fifth-place finish in the 800m run at the MT Christmas Invitational (2:24.19)… helped Austin Peay to runner-up finishes in the 1600m relay twice, including a silver medal run in the OVC Indoor Championships (3:50.16); also helped the Govs earn points in the distance medley relay with a fifth-place, 12:28.53 mark… finished sixth in the 800m run back-to-back weeks at the Hilltopper Relays (2:22.09) and APSU Invitational (2:18.92)… was twice part of a winning 4x400m relay team, at the Vanderbilt Black and Gold (3:51.85) and APSU Invitational (3:50.31), and earned silver in the event at the OVC Outdoor Championships (3:46.11).

2014 Cross Country: Earned a top-30 finish at the APSU Invitational (22nd, 23:32.00).

Prior to Austin Peay: Competed for Ted Whitaker at Savannah State a year ago, posting a win in the 400m at the Savannah State Relays with a personal-best 1:00.42… during a decorated prep career at Woodland High School, held the school 800m record (2:17.29) and was a state finalist all four of her prep seasons in the 800m and 4x400m relays, including runner-up in the 800m as a senior and in the 4x400m as a sophomore.

Personal: Daughter of Michael and Jayne McGhee… has two siblings, Morgan and Michael Jr…. her sister Morgan competed in sprints at Florida State… born Sept. 1… plans to major in Health and Human Performance.
