Career Recap: Austin Peay

As a senior in 2020:

• Started all ten matches for the Governors on the defensive line.
• Fired her first shot on goal since 2018 in her final match played in her hometown at Murray State, March 16.
• Matched her career-high with 110 minutes played in the Govs’ 1-1 draw against Eastern Illinois, March 26.
• Led Austin Peay with 931 minutes played during her senior season.

As a junior in 2019:

• Made 14 appearances, with one start on the defensive end for the Governors.
• Played a season-high 74 minutes in her lone start at Northern Colorado, Sept. 8.
• Recorded 664 minutes of action during her junior campaign.

As a sophomore in 2018:

• Appeared in 16 matches, starting nine, as a versatile player in the defense and midfield.
• Was second on the team with a .750 shot on goal percentage.

As a freshman in 2017:

• Appeared in 17 matches, starting in all of them, during her freshman campaign.
• Played 1,529 minutes as a crucial piece to the Govs back line.
• Recorded three shots on the season.

Prior to Austin Peay

Starred as a three-year all-district center back for Murray High School and Shauna Taylor… won three-straight district championships beginning in 2014, including a regional title in 2015… also named second team all-region twice and first team once in that span… recognized as defensive MVP in her sophomore, junior and senior seasons… played soccer locally for Clarksville Soccer Club under head coach Beth Acreman… also ran track in high school, and in the classroom, is a member of the National Honors Society.

Personal

Engaged to Trey Pruitt, a former member of the Austin Peay football team... daughter of Dennis and Dawn Therrell... her father, Dennis, played football at Tennessee Tech, before a coaching career which saw stops as the head coach at Lock Haven and the defensive coordinator at Illinois State, Army, UNLV, and Murray State... her mother, Dawn, played field hockey at Lock Haven... has two siblings, John and Cody, who played football for UNLV and Murray State, respectively... born February 12... a Public Relations major with a minor in Marketing.
