Nate Maresh, MS, ATC

Nate Maresh, MS, ATC, is in his first season as an assistant athletic trainer with the Austin Peay athletic training staff. He will work with the women’s basketball and women’s soccer teams in 2015-16.

Maresh joins the Austin Peay staff after a one year internship at Tennessee State where he worked with the football and women’s basketball teams. Prior to that he was at Milwaukee, as a research assistant, associate lecturer and also as assistant athletic trainer working with women’s soccer.

A Manitowoc, Wisconsin native, Maresh earned his bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2008. He received the Wisconsin Athletic Trainers Association’s Jeff Oliphant Memorial Postgraduate Scholarship and earned his master’s degree in biomechanics and sport psychology from Milwaukee in 2014. Maresh has twice been published in peer-reviewed publications.

After graduating from Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Maresh worked with several high schools while with the Mercy Health System’s Clinic and Secondary School Outreach program in Janesville, Wisconsin prior to beginning his postgraduate work.
