One of the most exciting players in the OVC basketball history... Averaged 29.5 and 27.5 points per game during the 1972-73 and 1973-74 seasons, when the Govs won back-to-back OVC titles... OVC Player-of-the-Year in 1973-74 after being named to several All-American freshman teams the year before... Among the top scorers in the nation both years... A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., who holds seven school scoring records and four OVC marks... Austin Peay had combined record of 39-17 during his two years... Played two seasons with Spirits of St. Louis in ABA and several years of semi-pro ball since... Has had numerous NBA tryouts.
