Holds numerous Austin Peay basketball and baseball records, including most career points in basketball (1850), most career free throws (448), most career field goals attempted (1721), most career rebounds (1431), best career rebound average (13.3) and most rebounds in a season (561 in 1956-57)... In baseball he has the most hits in one game (5), the fewest hits allowed in nine innings of pitching (1), the most strikeouts pitching in one game (17) and the fewest hits allowed pitching in a career (146)... Twice he captained the basketball team and he was named All-Volunteer State Athletic Conference three times (1955-56, 1956-57 and 1957-58)... he was also named the VSAC Regular Season Player of the Year during the 1957-58 season, when the Governors went 17-9... And in 1958, he was named to the NCAA All-Mideast Regional team...Served as captain of the baseball team in 1957 and won the Joy Award, which annually goes to Austin Peay’s Most Valuable Senior Athlete, in 1958... He lives in Clarksville and coaches at Ft. Campbell High School.
