SCHEDULE CHANGE

UT Martin, SEMO contests rescheduled for February

January 14, 2021

CLARKSVILLE – Austin Peay State University men's basketball's recently-postponed games at UT Martin and Southeast Missouri have been rescheduled. The Governors now will play an 8 p.m., Feb. 8 contest against the Skyhawks at the Elam Center and a 6 p.m., Feb. 16 game against the Redhawks at the Show Me Center.

Austin Peay announced the original postponements Tuesday when the it paused men's basketball activities due to COVID-19 protocols.

The UT Martin move will now turn the early-February schedule into a four-game road trip for the Govs—Austin Peay will make up a game at SIU Edwardsville, Feb. 1, before embarking on the weekend sojourn to Eastern Kentucky (Feb. 4) and Morehead State (Feb. 6). Austin Peay ends the road swing with the first of back-to-back games against the Skyhawks; the game rescheduled from Feb. 8 will be followed less than 72 hours later by the Skyhawks visiting Austin Peay.

With the rescheduled contests, Austin Peay now faces a challenging 11-game slate over the month's first 27 days.

In the time of COVID-19, there is always a chance a game will not come to fruition or something else will pop up first. Be sure to monitor LetsGoPeay.com and follow @AustinPeayMBB on Twitter for the latest updates.
