Jenkins Family Fieldhouse

Through a transformative gift provided by Don and Sandy Jenkins, Austin Peay State University embarked on a significant re-purposing of its indoor athletic facility into an indoor fieldhouse to benefit the department's student-athletes.

The Jenkins Family Fieldhouse provides more than 26,000 square feet of practice space. It features a surface installed by Shaw Sports Turf, which is a grass-like material with a sand/rubber infill similar to the surface at Fortera Stadium.

In Summer 2022, a Fortmetco LED video board was installed in the Jenkins Family Fieldhouse to enhance the student-athlete experience in the facility further. The video board can be used for watching game films, training, or for entertainment purposes, with teams able to watch a big game or movie in the facility.

While the indoor practice facility's primary users are the Governors' baseball, softball, football, soccer, and track and field programs, the facility is available to more than 300 Austin Peay student-athletes. Each of the Governors’ squads now have a dedicated indoor space for practice, allowing them to centralize their teams for training and workouts, particularly during inclement weather.
