Austin Peay State University Athletics

Charitable Donation Requests

Any individual seeking a donation from the Austin Peay State University Athletics Department must first complete and submit a Charitable Donation Request Form. The APSU Athletics Department will review the completed form and any additional documentation submitted.  Requests must be completed in its entirety and submitted a minimum of four weeks prior to the requested deadline.

After verifying the information, the Athletics Department will either deny or recommend approval of the request based on whether or not it meets applicable NCAA legislation and institutional policies. Recommended requests will be forwarded to the appropriate department (i.e. Marketing, Sports Team, Equipment, etc.). Approval of a request does not guarantee that it can be fulfilled.  The Athletics Department will notify the sender when a request has been denied and the reason for the denial.

Donation Request Guidelines

An individual, group, business, or organization is limited to one (1) charitable donation request per fiscal year. Donation requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Due to the volume of requests, the Athletics Department is unable to fulfill all requests.  Requestors within the state of Tennessee will be given preference.

  • Complimentary Tickets: Austin Peay Athletics does not donate tickets to sporting events.
  • Autographs: Due to the volume and frequency of requests, APSU Athletics cannot accept items to be autographed. If the Athletics Department is able to provide an autographed item, APSU will provide it. Any item received by the Athletics Department will be returned unsigned.
  • Memorabilia: Items such as hats, t-shirts, jerseys, etc. depend on availability
  • Equipment: Items such as helmets, balls, nets, etc. depend on availability

NCAA Legislation

  • Participating in any event in which a donation will be provided to a high school, prep school, or two-year college.
  • Providing any financial contributions to high school athletics program either directly or indirectly (e.g. fundraising).
  • Men’s Basketball – donations to a nonprofit foundation that benefits non-scholastic teams, prospective student-athletes, or individuals associated with prospective student-athletes, regardless of whether the foundation provides funding to or services for both prospective student-athletes and individuals who are not prospective student-athletes.
