APSU's Harris Selected to Play in All-Star Football Game

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.--Bryan Harris, who led Austin Peay State University in sacks the
past two seasons, has been selected to play in the National All-Star Football game, April 13, at
Pennington Field in Dallas, Texas.
Harris, a Memphis native (Houston High School), recorded 36 tackles from his defen-
sive end spot in 2001, including a team-best 13 tackles for losses totalling 51 yards. The 5-11,
240-pounder had six sacks for 36 yards among those tackles for loss.
As a junior, Harris flip-flopped between defensive end and tackle. He totalled 30 tackles
with 10 being for loss. His eight quarterback sacks were five more than any other teammate. At
Valparaiso, he had five tackles for loss, including three quarterback sacks.
As a sophomore, Harris finished with 45 tackles, including eight tackles for loss (three
quarterback sacks). He was second on the team in both tackles for loss and quarterback
sacks.
For his career, he had 31 tackles for loss, including 17 quarterback sacks.
Two All-Star games will be played that Saturday, one beginning at 3 p.m. and the other
at 7 p.m. The previous day, April 12, pro scouts will evaluate prospects from 8:10 a.m.-10 a.m.
