CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. ? Juniors Chris Barron and Yoshio Yamamoto are ranked in the Top 40, according to
college player statistics released by The Golf Channel.
Barron, in fact, is the nation's sixth ranked college golfer in the latest rankings as the Fall season is all but
complete for most teams. The Pleasant View native won two medalist titles during the fall with an overall scoring
average of 69.73.
Yamamoto, a Guadalajara, Mexico native, averaged 70.94 per 18 holes in 18 rounds of competition.
"It is very exciting to have two guys in the top 40," APSU coach Kirk Kayden said. "They both had excellent falls
and, hopefully, they will carry that into the spring.".
Daniel Willett, of Jacksonville State, was the only other Ohio Valley Conference golfer ranked in the Top 50. He
was ranked eighth.
