CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. ? Austin Peay State University women's tennis team was winless in a pair of weekend matches played at Evansville's Tri-Athletic Club, falling to Evansville, 7-0, Friday, and IPFW, 6-1, Saturday.

Friday's match was all Purple Aces as they won the doubles point in a decisive fashion ? no Lady Govs tandem won more than three games The singles competition was dominated as well, with APSU's Mariana Pagan's (6-2, 6-4) loss at No. 1 singles the closest match.

Michelle Liew won the Lady Govs only match against IPFW, Saturday, at No. 2 singles. The sophomore from Malaysia blanked the Mastadon's Stacy Lish in the opening set and closed out the match winning the tiebreaker. Junior Laura Gonzalez lost in three sets at No. 4 singles to Hanna Hager.

The Lady Govs return to action with a 3 p.m., Friday road match at Belmont.
