CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Austin Peay State University women's tennis team avoided the shutout, but fell 6-1 to Morehead State, Saturday. The Lady Govs fall to 1-14 overall with a 1-6 Ohio Valley Conference mark.

The Lady Govs earned one win in the doubles competition, as Mariana Pagan and Michelle Liew won 8-7 at No. 1. Morgan Klieber and Laura Gonzalez lost 8-4 at No. 2 doubles.

In the singles competition, the Lady Govs could not recover. Liew won at No. 2 singles and Pagan lost in three sets to Madeleinne Antero at No. 1. Klieber played close at No. 3, but lost in straight sets.

Austin Peay has two remaining matches, the next a 1 p.m., Tuesday, affair when they host Murray State.
