? Austin Peay State University women's
tennis team were shutout, 7-0, by Tennessee Tech, Monday, in Ohio Valley
Conference action. The Lady Govs fall to 1-14 overall with a 1-6 league clip.
The Lady Govs were swept in
the doubles competition for the second time in three matches. Austin Peay's No.
2 doubles tandem of Morgan Klieber and Laura Gonzalez, in fact, lost their
third straight doubles match with a score of 8-4.
In the singles competition,
Tennessee Tech powered on to complete the shutout. Mariana Pagan, at No. 1
singles, played the Lady Govs closest match falling (6-1, 7-5) to Kelly
Holtzhausen.
It was the third straight
loss by the Lady Govs and the eighth shutout loss this season. The Lady Govs
return to action when they host Murray
State in a 1 p.m.,
Tuesday, match at Austin Peay.
