CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. ? Austin Peay State University men's tennis team lost, 6-1, to Western Kentucky, Wednesday.  The home loss drops the Govs record to 1-3 on the season.

The Govs picked up one win in doubles action, which came courtesy of junior Leo Locatelli, the Govs No. 1 single player, and Lucas De Brito, the Govs No.2.  They started the day off strong with a commanding 8-3 win against junior Thomas Krug, Western Kentucky's No. 1 player, and senior Andy True, Western Kentucky's No. 2. 

In singles action, Locatelli put up a good fight against Thomas Krug but lost (5-7, 7-6, 7-5).  The Govs No. 3 player, freshman Renan Bezerra, won the first set of his match against sophomore Currie Martin, Western Kentucky's No. 3, but ended up losing (7-6, 6-7, 6-3).  DeBrito picked up the only singles win by beating True (6-1, 6-4).

Austin Peay returns to action at 3 p.m., Friday, at the Governors Tennis Center, when it hosts Bethel College.
