Gameviewer for APSU Athletics Media
These Gameviewers are provided as a courtesy for use by media members covering Austin Peay State University athletic events. Please note, media members use their computers at press row at their own risk. Austin Peay State University and its athletics department are not responsible for any damage caused to computers used on its press rows.
NOTE: The gameviewers will only work on 32-bit Windows operating systems. If you are unsure which operating system you are using, you may access that information by going to your Start Menu, accessing your settings and control panel. Click on the System Icon and it will appear on the first screen that appears.
- Access the Game Viewer webpage at LetsGoPeay.com. Gameviewers for Football, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Soccer and Volleyball are available on the webpage below. You will need a username and password to access the page which you can request through the sports information office.
- Click on the viewer you want to install. You will be prompted to either save or open the file. Choose "Open". The file will either open into WinZip or a temporary window, if it opens into a temporary window, click on SETUP.EXE (see Note) to
run the installer, if it opens into WinZip or if you otherwise see a
button (in VISTA) on the window that says "INSTALL", click on the
"Install" button at the top of the window. Note: If there are several files in the temporary directory that
look like they are called SETUP, then you do not have file extensions
turned on.
- Disclaimer: It would be impossible to provide perfect instructions
for every possible operating system and browser combination. These basic
instructions should work for the vast majority of people.
- After install, the gameviewer icon will appear on
your desktop. Close the temporary folder, find the gameviewer icon and
open the gameviewer.
- Enter the livestats web address into the "GAME XML FILE" field. All APSU home events will use the following address where GAMEID is the number assigned by the sports information office for that event. That number will be available in the game notes for that event.

It is that easy!
Problems after installation? .... If, after entering
the web address into the game xml file field and clicking on VIEW, the
game file does not appear as expected.... (e.g. the gameviewer does not
-- within a few seconds -- display team names) then there are two
possible problems. 1. You are trying to view a basketball game file,
while a home football game is in progress or a football file while a
home basketball game is in progress. 2. Your Windows Firewall is turned
on and it is preventing the GameViewer from accessing the internet via
port 80). Contact your technical support personnel in this case.
