CLARKSVILLE - Twelve Austin Peay State University athletics alumni and student-athletes and five athletics staff members were scheduled to participate in Summer Commencement ceremonies, Friday, at the Dunn Center.
The following APSU athletics alumni were master's degree candidates for the August 2012 Commencement:
- Lanis Frederick, football
- Chelsea Harris, women's golf
- Carley Newman, women's soccer
- Salem Richardson, women's basketball
The following APSU student-athletes were bachelor's degree candidates for the August 2012 Commencement:
- Andrew Cox, baseball
- Whitney Hanley, women's basketball
- Ilyanna Hernandez, women's basketball
- Brianna Lococo, track and field
- Preston Rouse, football
- Jake Ryan, football
- Christopher Taylor, football
- Joshua Terry, men's basketball
In addition, the following members of the athletics staff were among the candidates to receive degrees Friday:
- Joe Chase, athletic training assistant (master's degree)
- Vern Gress, track and field assistant
- Joe Lincoln, baseball assistant
- Brett Welch, football graduate assistant (master's degree)
- Janet Wilson-Van Dyke, athletic administration assistant
