CLARKSVILLE – It was an all-Austin Peay final in the top flight at the Austin Peay Fall Open, Saturday, where the Govs built on a dominating first day with a string of strong performances.
Senior Jasmin Ademovic met junior Dimitar Ristovski in the finals of Flight A; Ademovic defeated Western Kentucky's J.T. Closi, 6-5, 6-1, in the semis, while Ristovski defeated teammate Aleksas Tverijonas, 6-2, 6-2. In the final, Ademovic defeated Ristovski, 6-4, 6-5.
The Govs also put together an all-Austin Peay final in Flight B. Junior Iago Seffrin defeated North Alabama's Ali Murad (6-2, 6-5) and freshman Manuel Montenegro defeated Evan Borowski in an All-Gov semifinal. Seffrin and Montenegro will play out their final later this week.
Ademovic and Tverijonas won the doubles competition over Seffrin and Ristovski, 6-1; Borowski and Montenegro made it to the semifinals before losing to Ademovic and Tverijonas, 6-4.
The Govs return to action at next week's ITA Championships in Tulsa, Okla.
