KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Austin Peay State University women's tennis seniors Ornella Di Salvo and Vanessa Tavares saw their time end at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional, Friday, at the Knoxville Racquet Club.

In singles action, Di Salvo dropped a straight-set 6-3, 6-3 decision to Xavier's Daniella Patton. Patton, who recorded a 19-12 record last spring, advanced with an opportunity to advance to the main draw, which begins Saturday.

In doubles play, Di Salvo and Tavares dropped an 8-1 match to Western Kentucky's Emilia Granstrom and Andreanna Christopoulou. With the victory, Granstrom and Christopoulou advanced with a chance to qualify for the main draw, which opens play Saturday.

The Lady Govs return to action, Jan. 19, 2015, with a road match at Chattanooga.
