NASHVILLE – Sophomore Manuel Montenegro of the Austin Peay State University men's tennis team, was eliminated in the consolation semifinals at the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals, Sunday, at Vanderbilt's Currey Tennis Center.

Montenegro, a native of Las Palmas de Gran Carnia, Spain, faced off with ETSU's Sebastian Yllera. Yllera claimed a straight set 6-0, 6-0 victory over Montenegro and advanced to the final where he split the title with teammate Conner Huertas. Montenegro finished the tournament with a 3-2 record.

The Govs will return to action 1 p.m., January, 24, 2015, when they take on Chattanooga in their first match of the spring season.
