Throughout the 2014-15 season, Austin Peay State University's athletics teams will make appearances throughout the community. This page will be updated throughout the year to highlight those community appearances.
September 14, 2014: Lady Govs Basketball participates in 'Operation Serve: Neighborhood Edition'
The Lady Govs basketball team partnered with Grace Community Church in their annual "Operation Serve: Neighborhood Edition" and helped an elderly woman get her house fixed up. The team spent the morning doing yard work in both the front and back yards, lots of cleaning on the inside of the house, and painting the living room and main hallway of the house. The house was in great need of a fix up after the woman has been raising her three grandkids in recent years.

September 14, 2014: Lady Govs Basketball visits Byrns L. Darden Elementary
The Lady Govs basketball team went to Byrns L. Darden Elementary School, Sunday afternoon, to help complete a project for the janitorial staff there. Because of all that the janitors do at the school, the school's staff wanted to fix up the janitor's lounge and office space to give them a better place to work and relax. The Lady Govs basketball team partnered with Lowes and painted the lounge area, organized the shelves, and cleaned up the area. After completion of that project, the staff of the school was going to bring in new furniture for the lounge/office area.

September 12, 2014: Governors Football visits Liberty Elementary
Prior to its home opener, the Governors football team visited Liberty Elementary School, Friday morning.
