GLENCOE, Ala. – Austin Peay State University women's golf team endured a long second day, Monday, at the Chris Banister Golf Classic, being played at Mindbreaker/Heartbreaker at the Silver Lakes Golf Course.

The Lady Govs shot a season-worst 347 and fell to 11th place with a 673 total. No Lady Gov was able to break 80, Monday. Junior Jessica Cathey led the way with an 81—her 159 is tied for 25th.  APSU's second best score was sophomore Morgan Kauffman's 85.

The Lady Govs also had to count two 90 scores—senior Meghan Mueller (90) and AnnaMichelle Moore (91).

"There are not any excuses for the way we played today," APSU Sara Robson said. "They didn't give us a 100 percent on every shot. That's all we ask of them—give us 100 percent on every shot—and today they didn't.

"That will not happen again."

Troy leads the tournament at 608 while Morehead State is three strokes back.

The 54-hole three-day tourney concludes Tuesday.
