Kulbis presented Bibb Hall of Fame Scholarship

Mark Kulbis, graduate assistant in the APSU strength and conditioning program.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- Mark Kulbis, who serves as strength and conditioning graduate assistant in the Austin Peay State University weight room, has been awarded the 2015 Dr. Leon and Margaret Bibb Hall of Fame Scholarship.

Each year the scholarship is awarded for the spring and summer to a graduate student "with excellent integrity and character, desire to complete a graduate degree at APSU and a commitment to the success of the APSU Athletics program."

A native of Euclid, Ohio, Kulbis played football at Bowling Green but knew while playing his passion was in strength and conditioning. After graduating last spring, he came to APSU during the later summer. He works with Nick Honzik, APSU's strength and conditioning coordinator.

Dr. Bibb served on the faculty for 28 years and was the athletics faculty chair and Faculty Athletic Representative (FAR) for more than 23 years. Formerly named the Dr. Leon Bibb Hall of Fame Scholarship, it was renamed this year by the family in honor of Dr. Bibb and his wife, who died last April. A committee annually choses the scholarship recipient.
