BRENTWOOD – JaVaughn Craig of the Austin Peay State University football team was awarded the Adidas Ohio Valley Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors for his performance in the Govs 69-13 rout of Morehead State on Saturday night. Craig shares the award with UT Martin's Troy Cook.
Craig tallied 155 total yards in the victory, while becoming the first Governor to pick up four rushing touchdowns in a game since Chris Fletcher in 2006. His offense amassed an incredible 668 yards in the win, which was the second most in program history.
Austin Peay totaled 10 rushing touchdowns in the contest, breaking a 22-year old OVC record for most rushing scores in a single game.
Craig and the Govs will return to action at 6 p.m., Saturday when they head to Murray State to open OVC play.
