SHUTOUT NOTES
- Austin Peay's shutout was its first in 50 games, dating back to a 56-0 victory against Culver Stockton.
- The Governors won a 7-0 contest for the first time since 1986 when they defeated Middle Tennessee in overtime. That also was the Govs last shutout of a Division I opponent (331 games ago).
- It was the Govs first 7-0 win in regulation since 1956 when they defeated Jacksonville State at home.
LINEUP
- Austin Peay started the same offensive 11 for a fourth-straight game.
- The defense saw changes for a fifth straight game with transfer Nate Howard making his first start as a Governor. He became the third Governor to start at left defensive end in 2017.
- Kordel Jackson returned to start at cornerback after coming off the bench at Murray State.
- James Bond returned as a starter at strong safety for the first time since the Miami contest, making his second start this season.
OFFENSIVE SPARKS
- Terrius Callahan's touchdown in the second quarter was his first as a Governor.
- It was Callahan's second rush as a Governor, a 22-yard dash that was one of only four plays of 20-plus yards by the Govs offense.
- Austin Peay finished with 206 rushing yards, its third straight 200-yard rushing performance.
- Eight different Governors contributed to that rushing total, Ahmad Tanner leading the way with 90 net yards.

- UT Martin did not have a drive that went further than 45 yards – and that was their next to final drive that ended on downs at their own 47-yard line.
- Austin Peay forced three turnovers in the contest – a Kordel Jackson interception, a Keawvis Cummings interception and a Theron Hodges fumble recovery.
- It is the fourth consecutive game the Governors have forced a turnover, they have recovered 11 turnovers (five fumbles, six interceptions) in that span.
- While Austin Peay did not score on any of the three turnovers, two of the takeaways came at key points – stopping two of the four UTM drives that ventured into the APSU territory. The other two were halted by downs.
- Austin Peay's defense finished with the game with season-high 90 tackles. Jeremiah Mitchell led the way with 14 stops and Gunnar Scholato posted 12 tackles.
- The Governors posted their season's third three sack contest. Jaison Williams had a hand in all three sacks and was credited with 2.5 sacks, including a strip sack, and two quarterback hurries.

- The Skyhawks were consistently pinned in their own territory, with an averaging starting field position of their own 20-yard line.
- Punter Devin Stuart averaged 45.2 yards on his five punts, including a 55-yard long punt that was the longest by a Govs punter this season.
- Quarterback Jeremiah Oatsvall also had three punts, averaging 32.7 yards per punt and seeing two downed inside the 20-yard line.
