CONWAY, Ark. – Austin Peay State University beach volleyball team drops two matches at Central Arkansas Invitational.

The matches originally scheduled for mid-afternoon were moved up due to incoming weather, and the Govs had a cold start against Central Arkansas in the morning, failing to take a set from the Bears.

Struggles continued for the Govs into the afternoon against Louisiana-Monroe, until Ashley Slay and Cori Theiss won a dominant pairing over Meyer and Smith from ULM. Slay and Theiss took the first set 21-18 and the second set 21-17 for the Govs only point of the afternoon.

Austin Peay will face the Bears and ULM again tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. to wrap up their road matches for the 2018 season.
