November 23, 2019

CLARKSVILLE – Austin Peay State University's football team knows it will make its first-ever postseason appearance, but finds out its opponent and location for that first-round game during the NCAA Division I Football Championship Selection Show Watch Party, beginning at 11 a.m., Sunday at the Winfield Dunn Center.

Austin Peay will host the watch party as a lead up to the NCAA Tournament Selection Show, which will air at 11:30 a.m. (CT), Sunday on ESPNU. Doors at the Dunn Center will open at 11 a.m. so fans can meet the players and coaches of the 2019 Ohio Valley Conference regular season champions.

Fans also will be able to enjoy pre-announcement ceremonies that will include performances by the Governors Own Marching Band and the Austin Peay Dance Team. In addition, President Alisa White, Director of Athletics Gerald Harrison and Head Football Coach Mark Hudspeth will make remarks prior to the selection show.

The Governors won a program-record nine games in 2019, including a 7-1 record in Ohio Valley Conference action to win the second league title in program history. In doing so, Austin Peay set program records for scoring and offensive yards.

Fans unable to attend the watch party can tune into ESPN Clarksville 104.1 FM, which will be live on location at the Dunn Center, or listen to the broadcast online through the ClarksvilleNow.com app.
