CLARKSVILLE – With Ohio Valley Conference basketball in full swing, Austin Peay State University, Five Star Radio Group, and the Hand Family Companies present the weekly Austin Peay Coaches Show, featuring basketball head coaches Matt Figger and David Midlick, 6 p.m., Tuesday on ESPN Clarksville.

Figger and Midlick will join host Brian Rives on the air as they recap a successful trip to the Land of Lincoln for the Govs and preview a critical week of OVC games ahead.

Last week, Midlick's women's team improved to 5-0 in the OVC with wins on the road at SIUE and Eastern Illinois. The Govs are off to their best start in conference play since the 2002-03 season and are on their first five-game OVC winning streak since 2011.

On the men's side, coach Figger's squad went on the road and knocked off Eastern Illinois, 74-71, on a game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer by Terry Taylor.

This week, the women's team will face their toughest challenge yet, squaring off against the OVC's Preseason favorite, UT Martin, and the 2019-20 OVC Tournament Champs, Southeast Missouri. The men's squad will also travel to Martin and Cape Girardeau this week, where they will take on a pair of foes who are still looking to find their stride in OVC play.

Presented weekly, the Austin Peay Coaches Show will feature Austin Peay head basketball coaches Matt Figger and David Midlick throughout the Governors basketball season. The Austin Peay Coaches Show will be broadcast live from the Five Star Media Studios and will air live on ESPN Clarksville (104.1 FM and 540 AM) and it simulcast online.
