In addition, he and senior Anton Damberg were tabbed as the OVC Men's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week for the second time this season.

Schlossmann remained perfect in OVC play, Saturday, defeating Eastern Illinois' Leighton Brandon in straight sets for his second-straight victory.

Schlossmann last received the OVC Men's Tennis Player of the Week honors, April 14, 2021, and is the second Gov to receive the award this season, following Damberg's Feb. 15 award.

He is the third player under head men's tennis coach Ross Brown to earn the OVC Player of the Week multiple times in a career, joining Almantas Ozelis (2015-19), who won the award three times, and Dimitar Ristovski (2011-15), who took home the honor twice.

Schlossmann and Damberg continued to shine on the Govs top doubles line throughout weekend, earning their team-best fifth victory while exclusively playing on the No. 1 doubles court.

The pairing defeated EIU's Christos Kyrillou and Thomas Wallace, 6-4, for their second-straight win.

Damberg additionally finished perfect on the weekend, coming back to defeat Eastern Illinois' Cameron Slabbert in three sets from the No. 3 line.

Schlossmann and Damberg are the third duo in the OVC to earn the conference's doubles team of the week honor, joining Kyrillou and Thomas, and Belmont's Tomas Luis and Diego Castro.

Now with a pair of both OVC Player of the Week and Doubles Team of the Week honors, Schlossmann becomes the first known player in program history to receive an OVC weekly honor four times in his career, all while just a sophomore.

Following the Govs' 2 p.m. match against Chattanooga, Schlossmann, Damberg, and the rest of the APSU men's tennis team returns to OVC play with a 2 p.m., April 19 contest against Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, Tennessee.
