CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Austin Peay State University's cheer and dance spirit squad head to Orlando, Florida to compete in the Universal Cheerleaders Association and Universal Dance Association National Competition. The cheer team also competes in the University World Cup Cheerleading Championships during this weekend's events. 

The Govs dance team is lead by second-year head coach Deja Adams. The Govs compete with their game day routine at 9:00 a.m. (ET), Friday and then compete in the hip hop division at 9:53 p.m. (ET), Saturday.

Austin Peay's cheer squad is lead by first-year head coach TJ Bettineschi. She is assisted by Justin Mizen, who also is in his first year at Austin Peay. Cheer competes at 1:41 p.m (ET), Saturday in the UCA Small Co-Ed Division. The APSU Mascot, Governor Peay, follows them at 2:22 p.m. (ET) with his competition.

Sunday, the cheer team competes in the University World Cup Cheerleading Championships and competes in the Premier Small Co-Ed Division at 1:39 p.m. (ET).
