CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – TheAustin Peay Athletics Department and Five Star Radio Group present the weekly Austin Peay Coaches Show with head football coach Jeff Faris, head soccer coach Kim McGowan, and baseball student-athlete Jacob Weaver at 6 p.m., Wednesday at Raymond C. Hand Park.
Faris and hot Brian Rives will break down the Governors' 27-17 Homecoming loss to No. 8 Tarleton State, and look ahead to a 4 p.m., Saturday game against North Alabama, Saturay, in Florence, Alabama.
In addition to Faris, Rives will sit with McGowan and discuss the Govs' success on the pitch this season that sees the program entering the ASUN Women's Soccer Championship as the No. 6 seed.
McGowan and the Govs open the postseason with a 2 p.m. match against No. 7 Bellarmine in Nashville, tomorrow. If the Govs defeat the Knights, they would play No. 3 Lipscomb, Sunday.
A right-handed pitcher, Weaver joins the Austin Peay Coaches show after making 15 starts for the ASUN Champion Govs, where he earned four wins on the mound across 79.1 innings.
Presented weekly the Austin Peay Coaches Show features head football coach Jeff Faris and various assistant coaches and student-athletes throughout the football season. Fans can join Faris and host Brian Rives every Wednesday at Buffalo Wild Wings, which returns for its sixth season as the host location for the Austin Peay Coaches Show.
The Austin Peay Coaches Show is broadcast live from Buffalo Wild Wings, airs live on ESPN Clarksville (104.1 FM and 540 AM), and is simulcast online.
If you miss the live airing of the Austin Peay Coaches Show on Wednesday, it will be re-aired on Saturday at 4 p.m. leading into the Governors Sports Network's pregame show, which begins an hour before kickoff.
