CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Coming off its third-straight United Athletic Conference road win, the Austin Peay Athletics Department and Five Star Radio Group present the weekly Austin Peay Coaches Show with head coach Jeff Faris at 6 p.m., Wednesday at Buffalo Wild Wings on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.
Faris and host Brian Rives will break down the Govs' 31-17 win at North Alabama, Saturday, and look ahead to this week's 3 p.m. contest against Abilene Christian at Fortera Stadium.
The reigning UAC Offensive Player of the Week, wide receiver Jaden Barnes and linebacker Garrett Hawkins also join this week's Austin Peay Coaches Show.
Barnes is coming off the second-most receiving yards in a single game in program history, with his 241 receiving yards trailing only Harold "Red Roberts' program-record 252 yards in 1969. Barnes' 12 receptions also are tied for the second-best game in program history are the most by a Gov since 2022, while his three receiving touchdowns are tied for the fifth-best single-game performance in program history.
Defensively, Hawkins enters Week 11 with 28 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss this season. He tallied four tackles in Saturday's win against the Lions.
Presented weekly the Austin Peay Coaches Show features head football coach Jeff Faris and various assistant coaches and student-athletes throughout the football season. Fans can join Faris and host Brian Rives every Wednesday at Buffalo Wild Wings, which returns for its sixth season as the host location for the Austin Peay Coaches Show.
