Kylie Campbell earns NFCA All-Region honors

LOUISVILLE – Austin Peay State University softball's junior first baseman Kylie Campbell earned her first national honor for her outstanding play, as she was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association's All Central Region's Third Team, as announced by the association on Saturday.

The Ninety Six, South Carolina native, who was also named to the Atlantic Sun Conference's First Team earlier this month, finished this past season batting a team-best .378, which included eight doubles, four triples and a home run. She also scored 29 runs and drove in 23, while posting a .494 slugging percentage and a .409 on-base percentage.

Campbell's offensive numbers ranked among the best in the ASUN Conference, as she finished the season ranked in the league's Top 10 in hits (2nd), triples (2nd), batting average (4th) and OPS (10th).

Campbell's selection is the first for the Governors since third baseman Lexi Osowski-Anderson was selected to the NFCA All-Midwest Region Third Team following the 2022 season, and the seventh Gov overall since 2018 to earn NFCA All-Region honors.

Overall, 376 student-athletes from 160 programs and 32 different NCAA Division I conferences were represented with NFCA member head coaches from each respective region nominated student-athletes and voted for the teams. All awarded student-athletes now become eligible for the 2024 NFCA Division I All-America squads.
