JONESBORO, Ark. - Austin Peay State University women's golf team sits in a tie for 12th place at Arkansas State's Lady Red Wolves Classic after a first round 308 and a second round 291 on Monday at Sage Meadows Country Club.
Austin Peay is tied with Utah Tech and two strokes ahead of Mississippi College.
Abby Hirtzel leads the Govs after a first-round three-over 75 and a second-round one-over 73. Hirtzel's 148 first-day total leaves her in a tie for 38th place. Jordin Cowing is also in a tie for 38th place after a first round four-over 76 and a second round even par 72 gave her a 148 36-hole total.
Jillian Breedlove shot a first-round seven-over 79 and a second-round one-under 71 for a total of 150 to sit in a tie for 55th place. Ella Arnzen sits in a tie for 70th place after a first round six-over 78 and a second round three-over 75 for a 36-hole total of 153.
Abby Jimenez had a first-round seven-over 79 and a second-round five-over 77 to sit in a tie for 84th place with a 156 total.
Playing individually, MaKenna Cox had a first round five-over 77 and a second round nine-over 81 to sit in a tie for 92nd place with a 158 36-hole total.
