CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Looking ahead to its final regular-season game of the season, the Austin Peay Athletics Department and Five Star Radio Group present the weekly Austin Peay Football Coaches Show with head coach Jeff Faris at 6 p.m., Wednesday, at Skyline 500 on the top floor of Shelby's Trio in downtown Clarksville.

Faris joins host Kyle King to recap the Governors' 30-16 Senior Day win against Samford while also looking ahead to a 4 p.m., Saturday clash against No. 5 Tarleton State in Stephenville, Texas

Linebacker Montreze Smith Jr. and running back Kaden Williams also join Faris and King on this week's coaches show.

The reigning United Athletic Conference Freshman of the Week, Smith Jr. led Austin Peay with 2.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, and a pick-six in a win against Samford; he also ranked second on the team with five tackles. Smith Jr.'s 35-yard pick-six in the first quarter gave Austin Peay a 14-0 lead in the contest. It also marked Smith Jr.'s team-leading third interception of the season. Smith Jr. is the first Austin Peay linebacker with a pick-six since Jack McDonald's 32-yard pick-six against Morehead State (9/18/21).

Williams rushed seven times for 31 yards and a touchdown in the Govs' 14-point win against the Bulldogs, while also catching two passes for 14 yards.

Presented weekly the Austin Peay Coaches Show features head football coach Jeff Faris and various assistant coaches and student-athletes throughout the football season. Fans can join Faris and host Kyle King every Wednesday at Skyline 500 at Shelby's Trio, which is in its first season as the host location for the Austin Peay Coaches Show.
