CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – With another perfect week for softball and Atlantic Sun Conference series win for baseball, Austin Peay State University's Athletics Department and Five Star Radio Group present the weekly Austin Peay Coaches Show with head softball coach Kassie Stanfill and head baseball coach Roland Fanning at 6 p.m., Monday, at Buffalo Wild Wings on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.

Student-athletes Raylon Roach and Cody Airington also will join host Brian Rives to recap the opening weekend of league action for both teams, while looking ahead at midweek matchups and the second series of ASUN play for both sides.

Stanfill and her softball team extended their program-record winning streak, which currently sits at 22 games, the second-longest streak in the country and trailing only No. 1 Oklahoma's 29-game stretch that dates back to last season's Women's College World Series.

This past weekend, the Governors went up to the Bluegrass State and swept Bellarmine, Thursday-Friday. After opening the series with 4-0 and 2-0 shutouts, the Govs earned a 6-4 win over the Knights to secure their first ASUN series sweep since April 2023 against Lipscomb.

Senior outfielder Raylon Roach is having her career's best season, where she has posted career-highs across every statistical category. The Greenbrier, Tennessee native is fourth on the team in hits (25) and batting average (.333), and sixth in on-base percentage (.383) while leading off the batting order across each game she has appeared in.

The softball team takes its 25-3 record into a 4 p.m., Wednesday midweek at Southern Indiana in Evansville, Indiana.

After dropping a 6-4 road decision to Southern Indiana, Tuesday, the Governors won each of their first two games of ASUN Conference play following a 7-1 and 17-7 doubleheader victory against Lipscomb, Friday.

Airington went 6.2 innings in the Govs' 7-1 win over the Bisons, throwing six strikeouts and allowing just a single run and three hits.

Fanning and the Governors are 13-7 on the season and 12-2 at Joe Maynard Field at Raymond C. Hand Park.

The Govs return to the diamond this week for a pair of midweek matchups beginning with a 6 p.m., Tuesday game against Tennessee Tech before then hosting Southern Indiana at 6 p.m., Wednesday. They'll then face Central Arkansas on the road Friday-Sunday, in Conway, Arkansas.

Presented weekly, the Austin Peay Coaches Show features head baseball coach Roland Fanning, head softball coach Kassie Stanfill, and various assistant coaches and student-athletes. Fans can join Fanning, Stanfill, and Rives every Monday at Buffalo Wild Wings, which returns for its sixth season as the host of the Austin Peay Coaches Show.

The Austin Peay Coaches Show is broadcast live from Buffalo Wild Wings, airs live on ESPN Clarksville (104.1 FM / 540 AM), and is simulcast online.
