Coaches Show Featuring Faris, Robinson, Hood, Wednesday at Shelby’s Trio

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Coming off the second FBS win in program history following a 34-14 victory at Middle Tennessee last Saturday, the Austin Peay Athletics Department, Five Star Radio Group, and Riverside Spring and Physical Medicine present the weekly Austin Peay Football Coaches Show with head coach Jeff Faris at 6 p.m., Wednesday at Skyline 500 on the top floor of Shelby's Trio in downtown Clarksville.

Faris joins host Kyle King to look back at the 20-point victory in Murfreesboro – the Govs' first FBS win since defeating Kansas State in the 1987 season opener – while also looking ahead to a 2:30 p.m. (CT), Saturday contest against Georgia in Athens, Georgia.

Redshirt senior defensive lineman Davion Hood and sophomore wide receiver Jaden Robinson also this week's Austin Peay Football Coaches Show.

Hood, who started 10-of-12 games for the Governors in 2024, earned the start in Saturday's season opener against MTSU. The Kennesaw, Georgia native totaled two tackles and assisted on a tackle for loss against the Blue Raiders, while also tallying a quarterback hurry. Robinson is one of 35 Governors who made their APSU debut last week, and scored the season's first touchdown on a 22-yard pass from Chris Parson on APSU's opening drive. The Kennesaw State transfer finished the contest with two receptions for 31 yards and the score.

Up next, the Govs travel to the Peach State for a clash against No. 3 Georgia in Athens. With a win against the Bulldogs, the Govs would be just the seventh FCS ever to top a ranked FBS program and the first FCS team with back-to-back FBS wins since Florida Atlantic won three-straight to begin its 2004 season.

Presented weekly the Austin Peay Coaches Show features head football coach Jeff Faris and various assistant coaches and student-athletes throughout the football season. Fans can join Faris and host Kyle King every Wednesday at Skyline 500 at Shelby's Trio, which is in its first season as the host location for the Austin Peay Coaches Show.

The Austin Peay Coaches Show is broadcast live from Skyline 500, airs live on ESPN Clarksville (104.1 FM and 540 AM), and is simulcast online.

If you miss the live airing of the Austin Peay Coaches Show on Wednesday, it will be re-aired on Saturday at 4 p.m. leading into the Governors Sports Network's pregame show, which begins an hour before kickoff.
