Women's Lacrosse Welcomes Assistant Coach and Graduate Assistant to Coaching Staff

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Austin Peay State University head lacrosse coach Melissa Rausch added assistant coach Grace Reinold and graduate assistant coach Annalise Carr to her staff ahead of the Governors' inaugural season.

Reinold joins the Governors after coaching for Harpeth Hall College-Preparatory in Nashville in 2024, where she served as the junior varsity head coach.

Reinold also served as a strength coach for the last three years and a lacrosse club coach for the previous 10 years, where she coached children of various skill levels.

"Grace's experience at the Division I level and with two of the top clubs in Massachusetts and Tennessee will be invaluable," said Rausch. "She has hit the recruiting trail hard already, and we are excited to see her on the field once the first Govs get to campus this fall."

Reinold graduated from Sacred Heart University in May 2022 with her bachelor's in sports management. In addition, she completed her master's in business in May 2023, while finishing her five-year playing career. Reinold was a five-year attack starter for the Pioneers and a First Team All-Conference selection in her final season.

Carr joins the Governors following her graduation from the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs, where she completed her bachelor's in psychology in May 2025.

Carr was a midfielder for the Mountain Lions' women's lacrosse team during her freshman and sophomore seasons, where she played under Rausch. After sustaining injuries before her junior season, Carr medically retired and became a student assistant coach for her final two years at UCCS, while coaching alongside Rausch in 2024.

"Mental health, well-being, and performance are going to be large parts of our program," said Rausch. "Annalise has unique experiences in both player development and mental performance and well-being. Her ability to relate to players' experiences on and off the field and deal with their overall health and performance will give our program a huge advantage."

In addition to her playing and coaching career at UCCS, Carr has also coached for other club teams and Cheyenne Mountain High School, where she coached for two seasons while finishing her undergraduate degree. She helped lead CMHS to the playoffs for the first time in seven years in the 2024 season.
