CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Austin Peay State University's men's and women's cross country teams make their second trip to the Music City in as many meets this season, when they compete in the Michael Pretorius Invitational, Saturday, at Percy Warner Park in Nashville.
Last time out, both teams competed at the Belmont Opener with the men's team finishing fifth and the women, sixth. Jacob Schweigardt and Sydney Freeman paced their respective teams for the first time in their careers at Belmont's event.
The last time the Governors competed in Trevecca's event, the women's team earned the victory, with Shaye Foster also winning as an individual. It marked the first team and individual victories for APSU since 2017. The men earned a third-place finish in last year's Michael Pretorious Invitational with Jackson Fowler leading the team with a 10th-place finish overall.
