CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Austin Peay State University sophomore Ella Arnzen will tee off in the 126th United States Women's Amateur at 12:33 p.m. (CT), Tuesday, at The Honors Course in Ooltewah, Tennessee.

Arnzen is believed to be the first APSU women's golfer in the 126-year history of the event to make it into the field, less than two weeks after winning the Idaho Women's Amateur. The Boise native qualified with a top-four finish at the June 15 qualifying event at Trophy Country Club's Whitworth Course in Trophy Club, Texas.

Arnzen was named to the Atlantic Sun Conference All-Freshman Team in 2026 after a first year in Clarksville, which featured three top-five finishes, including a runner-up showing at the Jan Weaver Invitational in Murray, Kentucky.

Eight of the top 15 players in the latest World Amateur Golf Ranking®/WAGR® are competing in this event; the winner will earn an exemption into the 2027 U.S. Women's Open Presented by Ally at the Inverness Club, an invitation into the 2027 Augusta National Women's Amateur, and likely exemptions into The Chevron Championship, AIG Women's Open, and Amundi Evian Championship.
