Biography

2024: Started all 12 games on the offensive line, with seven starts at left guard and five at right guard… One of two offensive linemen and five players to start every game last season… Blocked for an offense that rushed for 311 yards and five touchdowns against Alabama A&M (Sept. 21), the program's most rushing yards and touchdowns since 2023… The Governors also had a pair of running backs eclipse 100 rushing yards against the Bulldogs for the first time since 2023… Provided protection for an offense that set the APSU single-game completion percentage record (.886) with the fourth-most passing yards (406) and the sixth-most completions in a single game (31) at North Alabama (Nov. 2)… Helped block for an offense that posted the second-highest completion percentage in program history (.618), the eighth-most yards of total offense (4,116), and the fifth-most completions (217) in a single season.

Prior to Austin Peay: Began his collegiate career at Oklahoma (2019-22) before transferring to Texas State (2023). 2023: Played in 10 games at guard for the Bobcats… Did not allow a sack on 46 pass plays… Helped Texas State go 8-5 overall with a 45-21 win over Rice (Dec. 26) in the SERVPRO First Responders Bowl. 2022: Did not see action in his final season at Oklahoma. 2021: Did not see action during his redshirt sophomore season. 2020: Played in one game for the Sooners as a redshirt freshman, making his collegiate debut against Missouri State (Sept. 12). 2019: Did not see action and redshirted during his true freshman season.

High School: Played offensive and defensive line for head coach John Settle at Sunnyvale High School… Named a Second Team Texas Sports Writers Association’s (TSWA) Class-4A All-State selection during his senior season in 2018… Was a TWSA All-State honorable mention during his junior season… Rated a four-star prospect by Rivals and a three-star by 247Sports.com.

Personal: Marcus Devone Alexander is the son of Kim Alexander… Birthday is July 18… Has one sibling, Lauren… Graduated from Oklahoma in May 2023 with a bachelor’s in communications… Pursuing a second bachelor’s in leadership science.
