Biography

2009 Outdoor: Started out strong, setting the school outdoor record at the FAMU Relays with a 3.85 meter mark, finishing first...won both home meets (Spring Fling and Governors Invitational) with 3.70 meter vaults...won third consecutive OVC pole vault title with a 3.75 meter mark, besting teammate Molly Bartkiewicz by over a quarter of a meter.
2009 Indoor: Never finished lower than sixth in her indoor junior season...opened the season by winning the Rev. Mike Hout Invite with a 3.51 meter mark...earned another first place tie at the DePauw Invitational with a 3.50 meter vault...saved her best for last, setting the school indoor record at the OVC Championships, with a 3.80 meter mark, finishing first.
2008 Outdoor: Earned six top-five finishes in her sophomore outdoor campaign...posted a personal-best and team season-best mark at the Vanderbilt Invitational, hitting 3.75 meters to finish second...claimed her first Ohio Valley Conference title with a 3.73 meter mark, eight tenths of a meter ahead of teammate Molly Bartkiewicz...in first career NCAA Regional, finished 23rd with a 3.66 meter vault.
2008 Indoor: Burst onto the scene in the pole vault, earning four first-place finishes...never finished lower than a tie for fourth in six events...shared first place honors with teammate Molly Bartkiewicz twice, at the Saluki Fast Start (3.50 m) and the TSU Invitational (3.35 m)...had season-best 3.50 meter mark four times, winning or tying for first in three of those meets.
2007 Outdoor: DNC due to injury.
2007 Indoor: Ran a season-best time of 8.47 in the 60-meter run at the Saluki Fast Start... had six top-10 finishes in the pole vault, including a fifth place finish at the O’Reilly OVC Championship with a school record vault of 3.35 meters... after qualifing for the NCAA Regionals was forced to set out of event due to injury.
Prep: Competed in the pole vault at River Valley High School for Lori Parthemore where she finished third in the pole vault and second in the long jump at the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference championships.
Personal: Daughter of Denny and Chris Burggraf...born Aug. 7, 1987...majoring in pre-law...has been named to the ESPN the Magazine and USTFCCCA All-Academic teams...named Austin Peay female athlete of the year in 2009, as well as the 2009 Steve Hamilton Sportsmanship award recipient...awarded a presitigious internship at the Carter Center in 2008.
