College:Began regular season play against the Western
Kentucky University Hilltoppers, with one tackle. Expected to challenge for starting spot at weak safety after redshirting a year ago... will battle sophomore Steven Rich for playing time... speedy defensive back with good size and nose for football... after playing free safety first two seasons was given opportunity at cornerback in spring 2011...moved back to safety during Fall 2011 but sat out season... spent all of 2010 as No. 1 strong safety... ranked fifth-best on team with 51 tackles, which was third among defensive backs... included in that were 23 unassisted tackles... led Govs with three fumble recoveries which ranked t-13th nationally... had five or more tackles in five games... made 5.0 tackles for loss and had 1.5 sacks... intercepted two passes, tying for second-best on team... named OVC Defensive Player of the Week and National co-Defensive Player of the Week by CFPA for performance at Middle Tennessee... had six tackles and recovered three fumbles, returning one for a touchdown against Blue Raiders... followed that with nine tackles at Tennessee State, including a sack assist... led Govs with seven tackles at Wisconsin, including the Govs only sack in the contest... made seven tackles against Southeast Missouri... picked off two passes against Murray State to go along with eight tackles...as a result of depth issues, climbed the depth chart at strong safety in 2009 and did not disappoint on field... finished fifth on team with 52 tackles, third most in the secondary... had 4.5 tackles for loss... against Jacksonville State, returned a blocked kick 34 yards for a TD ... did not play in season's first game... at Youngstown State, entered lineup when Chris Taylor suffered knee injury on opening kickoff... at Tennessee Tech, had team-high 12 tackles... at Southeast Missouri, recovered a fumble that led to APSU field goal... later recorded first career interception, which set up go-ahead TD... against Eastern Kentucky, forced fumble that led to Govs' first-quarter TD.
High School: Played safety for Rodney Hackney at North Clayton High School...over last two prep seasons recorded more than 100 tackles, including six tackles, plus four interceptions, three blocked punts and one blocked field goal...earned team MVP and Special Teams Player of the Year...also was track star.
