College: Active defender returns as one of Govs regular in linebacker corps...started all 11 games in 2012... finished fourth on the team with 62 total tackles, including 20 solo stops and four tackles for a loss… credited with seven tackles, six of them assists, against Virginia Tech… made a season-high four solo tackles against Tennessee State, a feat he later duplicated against Eastern Kentucky… had one tackle for loss against UT Martin… made a season-high 15 tackles against Murray State (13 assisted), sharing a sack and totaling two tackles for loss… totaled eight tackles against Eastern Kentucky, including a half-tackle for loss…moved in as starter in 2011 season’s third game and started final eight contests…finished 2011 third on team in tackles with 76, including team-best 39 assists… opened season as back-up middle linebacker but nine-tackle performance, including 1.5 tackles (one sack) for loss, against Eastern Kentucky elevated him into starter’s role… finished season with seven contests of eight tackles or more, including four nine-tackle performances… also had nine stops against UT Martin, Eastern Illinois and Tennessee Tech… credited with three quarterback hurries in 2010…  injuries and shallow linebacking corps numbers offered him early opportunity to play as freshman…credited with 18 tackles with 16 coming on run situations… also had 2.0 tackles-for-loss… had six tackles and forced fumble at Middle Tennessee… had season-best seven tackles at Wisconsin, which was second-best on team… also had tackle-for-loss.

High School: Linebacker for Brandon Gray at Adamsville High School...led team to playoffs as a senior... was among state leaders with 183 tackles... named Class A Lineman of the Year and TSSAA Mr. Football...also named West Tennessee Defensive Player of the Year.

Personal:  Health and human performance major with a professional education minor…  member of President’s List (4.0) both semester as a junior...four-time member of Dean’s List and six-time member of Athletics Director’s Honor Roll…three time selection to OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.. named to the Capital One Academic All-District team in 2011… son of Larry and Tammy Carroll…born Sept. 8, 1991… age 21…will turn 22 day after Govs play at Vanderbilt.
