Biography

 College: Fred Mitchell Award Outstanding Place-Kicker nominee returns for final season...coming off up-and-down junior season...enters final season healthy after dealing with some preseason back issues prior to 2011... Broke the school record with his 34th career made field goal in game against UT Martin. He also passed Terrence Holt for fourth most points as a Gov....Made one of two field goals at 44 yards at Western Kentucky... Connected on two of three kicks for 35 yards a piece against UT Martin... Passed Harold Roberts in scoring with 187 points with his fourth first-quarter PAT against Culver-Stockton... In game against Tennessee Tech made all five extra point attempts to finish his career making 98 of 101 attempts (97%). Also tied school record for Field Goal attempts with 62. With his eight points (5 extra points and 1 field goal) in Tennessee Tech contest became only the second Governor to record more than 200 points in a career. He finishes with 203... in 2011 got off to a slow start, connecting just one field goal in four attempts in first three games...handled punting chores in season opener against Cincinnati before turning them over to Ben Campbell...finished season by making more respectable 9 of 15 field goals over last eight games...came up big against Tennessee State, connecting on all three field goal attempts, including a season-long 43 yarder...also connected on game-winning 37 yarder with 2:10 left in game...named OVC Specialist of the Week for his efforts...only attempted one field over next two games before attempting at least one field goal over final five games...went two-for-two in road loss at Southeast Missouri, including 37 yarder...made two-of-three field goals against Central State, including 37 yarder...made only attempt, a 40 yarder against Murray State...finished with 12 touchbacks during season, including 10 in final three games...in 2010, enjoyed strong second season...finished season 12 of 18 on field-goal attempts, including a trio of 50-yard or better boots...got off to exceptional start, making eight of his first nine attempts in first four games...limited opportunities saw him connect on just four of his last nine over the final seven games...connected on two of three field goals at Middle Tennessee...followed with a perfect four-for-four performance against Tennessee State, including his season's first 50 yarder right before half...connected on three more field goals in the second half...his four field-goal performance tied the APSU single-game mark...also earned him OVC Specialist of the Week honors as well as College Football Performance Awards Place-Kicker Co-Performer of the Week...following week at Wisconsin was responsible for APSU's only points, a 51-yard field goal...failed to connect for field goal against Tennessee Tech and connected on just one in each of next three games, including a 50 yarder for APSU's only points against Jacksonville State...went two games without connecting on field goal before nailing a 37 yarder against Eastern Kentucky in season finale...also effective with kickoff duties, including 13 touchbacks...had trio of touchbacks against Cumberland and against Eastern Illinois... in 2009, young kicker made his mark at APSU with a stellar first season... connected on 9 of 15 field goals... his nine made FGs tied for sixth-best in a single season... hit 27 of 28 extra points good for 96.4 percent which is tied for fourth-best in a single season... made 3-of-3 field goals inside 29 yards... made his first three field goals before missing a 33-yarder against Tennessee Tech... made three of his last five, all distances 40 yards or longer... that included season-long 52-yard kick against Murray State... superb on the kickoff as well... averaging 59.4 a kick, including four touchbacks... opponents average starting position was the 33-yard line, which was marked improvement from 2008.

High School: Kicker/punter for Bo Cagle at McMinn County High School...four-time all-region kicker...perfect on all 20 extra-point attempts and 11 of 14 field goals, including 51 yarder as senior...31 of 43 kickoffs were for touchbacks...captured National Kicking Combine kickoff championship and was runner up in field goals...also averaged 42 yards per punt as senior...Chattanooga Best of Preps Kicker...Knoxville Area Prep Extra first team selection...also was All-State soccer player.
